Sea-Doo Offering $$$ For Hottest Lap; Can-Am Test Rides
BRP is putting $1000 up for grabs for the rider who posts the fastest lap time during the Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty “Brake the Bank” Invitational, taking place during this week’s IJSBA World Finals.
The Invitational, a culmination of the Bountry racer contingency program, will pit the top Sea-Doo watercraft racers from around the world in a hot-lap challenge aboard the new RXT-X aS 260. The twist? Each competitor will have to utilize the RXT-X aS’s brakes after crossing the finish line to avoid a set of penalty buoys that, if crossed, will add two seconds to their hot-lap time.
The winner takes home the four-digit prize.
Sea-Doo also has put up $10,300 in Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty contingency funds for racers who compete in specific classes aboard Rotax 4-TEC-powered Sea-Doo craft. Currently, HydroTurf and Toyota National Stock Champion Troy Snyder leads the Bounty competition, and will be the #1 seed in the BRAKE THE BANK invitational. Cody Hawkins, Eric Lagopoulos, Rick Kantola, Lee Pham, Joe Bohaczek, Sam Harvey, Kylie Ellmers, James Bushell, Norito Nakano, and Deninho Casarini are also expected to vie for the prize.
BRP and Walt’s Motorsports will also combine during the World Finals to offer test rides on the new CAN-Am Commander side-x-side vehicle. The “Commander Experience” will be open from 9:30 – 4:30 Thursday, October 7th – Saturday, October 9th and from 9:30 – 2:30 on Sunday, October 10th.
